Thanks for all of the responses.. I noticed that a lot of people are suggesting keeping a planing hull and edges. Is that more for ease of transition from play boating or just a general consensus. I have paddled some of my friends boats with a displacement I'm thinking in particular a jefe grande and didn't have much trouble with it although I remember thinking that it felt a bit too creek dedicated. Does anyone that has paddled both have a comparison on how they feel
