Same batteries in the Hero2 last half as long as in my original Hero. Even in"One Button" mode. I hate changing batteries on the river because inevitably some moisture gets into the housing and can cause fogging. Guess I'll break down and get the battery bacpac. Just realized it also doubles as a charger.
