I've got one and not only does it take care of pruning around the house, but it's always in my kit on more wilderness style low-volume creek runs. Handy also when camping or if you're hike-scouting a small run and want to clean it up before the big rain. Don't expect to remove big logs, but for the nuisance stuff, they are wonderful. I have been impressed by how quick these things can cut something.
Mine goes in a small cheap rolltop drybag along with the pin kit, prussiks and first aid kit.
