Agree that Balcony Falls is probably your best bet, then the Maury if there's enough water. Also if water is low there's a section of the Roanoke River that's dam controlled, look for the Niagara to Rutrough Rd. section (for some reason I'm not finding it on AW right now). The New in Virginia is pretty mild, generally pretty flat with an occasional class 2. Good playspot at McCoy, and going from there to Eggleston is a decent easy run. For more WW on the New you'll have to drive to WV.
