Chattooga Section 3 first timer level?

I personally wouldn't go up there below 2.5' but I remember having some good times on Sect 3 at 1.4 / 1.5. Sure it makes for a long day, but it's still navigable as well as beautiful.

For a first timer with expectations of a low water scenic trip 1.4 will suffice.

Depending on your skill level section 3 is fun at lower levels too.
