From the number of stories on BT the past few years about SAR activity in the blackwater canyon I'm surprised it took them this long to start charging when they get called out. Pretty much all the areas in America that experience constant SAR activity charge for it. California, Colorado, etc. They all charge. That stuff is really expensive and I doubt local landowners are willing to raise their property taxes to fund rescues of out of towners who get in trouble in the blackwater canyon.
