I'm not trying to be ridiculous on here, just saying that on the class 3/4 run that I did on Sunday I saw at least 100 logs that would pose a more significant risk to a paddler than the one in question (South Sauty). If boaters were to post every log that they pass, which could pose a danger to a paddler on a river, then this forum would become a list of random logs on random rivers. Now if this log was blocking an entire channel or hiding just below the water around a blind corner, then I could see the point of the post and I wouldn't have said anything about it. With that said, it looks like there is enough room to float a tandem canoe sideways around that log and never have a problem. Perhaps I'm wrong, but it looks like it's pointing directly downstream in a section of river that is almost 100 feet wide.


That's all I'm trying to say.
