olympus makes two classes of waterproof cameras, the kinda tough, kinda waterproof ones (790sw, tough 6000) and the really tough, really waterproof cameras (770sw, 1030sw and tough 8000)

I have the 770 and it is bulletproof and takes great pics.  fits in front pocket with tons of room to spare, takes _great_ movies, has great hi-framerate mode (~5fps @ 3MP) 3x optical zoom.
