Depending on when you started boating, playing with a long boat may be a foreign concept or a trip down memory lane. Kayakers have always play boated but how we play has evolved with the boats. The core of classic play boating is surfing and enders! The surfing end of things ...

Kayak fishing for big bass with big flies is super fun, and a great way to beat the summer heat. It’s becoming more and more popular, and there’s even dedicated bass fly fishing tournaments popping up like the Ditch Pickle Classic on Lake Champlain.   But, it comes with it’s own set of challenges (and advantages) for ...

Warm weather means big bass are hitting big flies on the surface. Damon Bungard from Jackson Kayak shows you how to land and release a trophy bass from his Kilroy fishing kayak at his home lake at Long Branch Lakes, Spencer, TN.

First off I need to say how highly impressed I am with my cuda 12. stable, fast, and a blast to fish from. I’ve had it for almost a month now and if I could I would fish 24-7 365 days out of it. My realization of how perfect the cuda is to ...

The Race Start after passing under Guys Ford Bridge Photo by:  William Mauney Photography   This past Saturday one of my favorite events of the year went down on the Watauga River Gorge.  This is a really fun race, because of the friendly lazed nature of the event and the crazy mass start boater cross format!  Not to mention the race is ...

Another J-Bay Kayak Classic in the history books! As always a different story to go with the event. Weather good and bad. Broken gear and decent fishing! Video showing the morning before a slow moving storm dropped 2" of rain and blew 40 MPG gusts at 30 Mph sustained

Guilty pleasure, sometime we sit and watch when we should be outside and doing it. Winter 2000, It was my second 'winter blues' without kayaking. Julie Dion had given me a promo video of team wavesport. I was looking at it probably every week from december to march and my dreams where fulfil of kayaking images. Dreams or maybe more premonition...
