Then we headed to North Fork French Broad for two fun laps at 4″.  An awesome time with Brian Vermillion ...

Level was -3 on the gauge....put in slide on the Toxaway. Wow what a crazy fun put int

Wayne Dickert is a true hero and mentor to me.  He has been bringing “Church” to the river long before it was a fad saying! If you want to experience God in a REAL church setting on the river head to the River of Life at the Nantahala Outdoor Center on Sunday mornings if you ...

More at http://umc.org/videos. There are people who find sanctuary in nature. A North Carolina United Methodist pastor understands this and began bringing church to the Nantahala River for those who prefer a Sunday morning canoe to a church pew. The Rev. Wayne Dickert is a former U.S. Olympic paddler turned pastor. Dickert feels outdoors people often feel like outsiders in a traditional church. Bringing church to the river lets church happen in a comfortable setting. “This is the perfect marriage of worship and recreation and re-creation and having that opportunity to have new life breathed into them,” says Dickert. This channel is managed by United Methodist Communications in Nashville, TN. Contact FWalsh@UMCom.org for more info.
