The 4th of July weekend usually yields epic adventures within the whitewater community. i.e. Lots of good friends, epic whitewater, incredible scenery, a theme song or two, and maybe a few inside jokes. This year, we hope captured as many of those awesome moments as you possible via video, photo or written trip report.
All entries must be posted to the BoaterTalk Facebook page by 5:00 PM PST Monday 7/11/11. The entries in each category with the most Likes will win 1 FREE subscription to Kayak Session Magazine. Please note: Multiple Winners will receive prizes. See below. Please also check the Contest Rules to find out how to enter and participate in the contest.

Contestants have until 5:00 PM PST on Monday July 11, 2011 to submit their photo, video, or trip report to BoaterTalk via Facebook for the contest. Voters have until 5:00 PM Monday July 11, 2011 to cast their vote in each category. Winners will be chosen by the community and via the number of Likes or comments received per entry on the BoaterTalk Facebook page.

Best Video: Video should be no longer than 2.5 minutes. PG 13 song lyrics. Video must be added to YouTube and then posted to the BoaterTalk Facebook page. Winners will be chosen by the number of Likes received by the deadline of 5:00 P.M. 7/11/11. (Tell your friends to vote for you)
Best Photo: Contestants should post the photo that best describes their epic 4th of July weekend on the BoaterTalk facebook page by 5:00 P.M. Monday 7/11/11. The person with the most Likes by the 5 p.m. 7/11/11 deadline wins. (Tell your friends to vote for you)

Trip Reports should be 500-700 words in length to qualify for the contest. Contestants need to create a note within their Facebook page and then post a link to the that note to the BoaterTalk Facebook page. Winners are chosen by the number of likes received on Facebook for his/her trip report.
Directions: How to post your trip report to the BoaterTalk Facebook page:
1. Go to your Facebook profile page.
2. Click Notes located on the left hand side of your profile.
3. Click Write a Note
4. Create a title of the trip report, write your trip report in the text box.
5. Click Publish
6. Post a link to your note/ trip report to the BoaterTalk Facebook page
7. Tell your friends and family to go to http://www.facebook.com/boatertalk and vote for your trip report.
